Spring in the Mountains...
at Lutheridge and Biltmore

Come to the mountains to enjoy life in full color as the
FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS blooms at the Biltmore Estate.

April 1-3, 2011
(Friday - Sunday )

April 5-7, 2011
(Tuesday - Thursday)

Enjoy time at Lutheridge; we will lead singing and devotions one evening. Spend a day at the Biltmore Estate, visiting the house and the gardens dressed in thousands of colors. Biltmore's gardens, designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, are alive with color as spring arrives. Enjoy the beauty of tulips, azaleas, and countless other flowers during the Biltmore Festival of Flowers.

Arrive at Lutheridge. Your housing will be ready and if your group would like space to have time together, we can provide that. Enjoy time on your own at Lutheridge, or visit the North Carolina Arboretum, take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit the Folk Art Center, or any activity that will bring you joy! Lutheridge staff will greet you at dinner if you arrive on April 5 and in an evening welcome reception if you arrive on April 1 to let you know about your time here.

After breakfast at Lutheridge on Wednesday or Saturday, depart for the 8,000-acre Biltmore Estate. Delight in the colors that are on display in the walled garden as you take your self-guided tour through the house and gardens. Each year, the colors and designs are different. Discover something new each time you visit the Estate. We will provide you with directions and ideas of what to do while at Biltmore. Lunch is on your own at one of the Estate's dining establishments. Meet us back at Lutheridge for dinner and devotions.

On Thursday or Sunday, feel free to wonder around Lutheridge after we say goodbye to you at breakfast. Enjoy the rocking chairs, have a meeting with your group, or visit Asheville or Hendersonville. Make the time what you want it to be.

DON'T FORGET, NEW IN 2010! The Biltmore Estate has opened Antler Hill Village which will include an ice-cream shopw, tavern, and new exhibit hall. Eat at the tavern and take note of the bar which was made from the Birth Tree that was planted after George Vanderbilt's only daughter, Cornelia, was born. Guests will also be able to view the Vanderbilt's 1913 Stevens-Duryea Model "C-Six" for the first time. Fore more information about the new Antler Hill Village, all it will offer, and the story, click here to visit Biltmore's website.
