Our facilities provide you with not only the convenience of a chapel to hold the ceremony, but also rooms perfect for receptions and housing facilities for out-of-town guests. Weddings reservations are seasonal: early April to mid-May and mid-August to late September only. Wedding reservations are not available from mid-May through mid-August. Please feel free to contact Suzanne Delap at 828-684-2361 ext.309 or by email at sdelap@llmi.org to check for open dates.

Whisnant Chapel
Whisnant Chapel is an open-air chapel that is available seasonally. With tile floors, open sides, and low lighting, the Chapel offers a woodsy setting for a service for as many as 200 people. Side flaps open to offer a view of the trees and mountains. Whisnant Chapel is not heated and only open seasonally.
Rate for a wedding:
$2,500.00 for the day (from 8AM to 11PM).
For a rehearsal the evening before (between 5PM to 11PM): $250.00.
Efird Lounge
Efird Lounge is one of our most popular rooms with its rustic, mountain decor. Two large stone fireplaces are located at either end of the room. Wood floors and wood-paneled walls add to the mountain feel. A covered porch overlooking the mountains and trees is located off the back of the room. Efird Lounge is a popular reception space, but has also been used for wedding ceremonies.
Rate for a wedding:
$2,704.00 for the day (from 8AM to 11PM).
Lakeside Lodge
A covered pavilion that is located beside Lake Lewthorne,Lakeside Lodge has become a popular location for 
that late summer reception. Picnic tables are arranged under the roof. A large stone fireplace is located at one end of the pavilion. Restrooms are located on the back side of the building.
In addition, a new outside worship area is also located to one end of the lake. Benches face the lake and a deck with a large cross. The use of the worship area is available with a reservation of Lakeside Lodge only.
Rate for a wedding at Lakeside Lodge:
$2,704.00 for the day (8AM to 11PM).
Additional Information:
- Rates are daily usage rates and all-inclusive (include all additional fees). Half-day rates are not available, with the exception of the Chapel for a rehearsal.
- A damage deposit of $500.00 per building will be charged.
- Reserving the new outdoor worship area at the Lake may be used but only by also renting Lakeside Lodge.
- Back up locations for outside facilities may be reserved at the regular building rental cost. A back up location will not be automatically reserved.
- LLMI will provide a standard set up for the chapel; with the chairs facing the front stone alter. Lakeside Lodge and Efird Lounge are reserved as is. If a different arrangement is requested, it will be the responsibility of the wedding party to set the space to their specifications. The wedding party is also responsible for returning the room to the “pre wedding condition” or the damage deposit will be forfeited. LLMI is not responsible for the set up, delivery, and/or pick up of outside rentals such as tables, chairs, AV equipment, etc. LLMI will make sure that all reserved space is clean and open.
- A changing room for the bride and bridesmaids only will be held for the morning of the ceremony. Location of this room will be guaranteed one week prior to the event.
- Guest housing must be handled as a separate reservation. The reserving person will be responsible for taking reservations for the rooms, providing room assignments to LLMI, and collect all monies from guests. Payment is made with one check.
- Pets are not allowed on the Lutheridge grounds. There are kennels in the area and we will be happy
to provide you with names and numbers.
- All catering MUST be done through Aramark and is independent of the building rental cost. Outside caterers are not permitted with the reservation of one of the above rooms. The exception to this policy is with regards to the wedding cake. An outsider caterer may be used for the cake. It is the responsibility of the wedding party to secure staff to cut the cake.
- Illegal drugs are not allowed on Lutheridge property.
- All wedding fees MUST be paid ONE WEEK PRIOR TO the wedding day. If not paid IN FULL, the wedding will not take place at Lutheridge.
- Per the health department, pets are not permitted in any overnight facilities or meeting rooms. Service animals are allowed.
