Middle School Programs
Programs for youth that have finished 6-8 grade by summer 2012.
Lock in your rate: Register by the end date listed to lock in your rate. Space cannot be guaranteed without full payment. If not paying in full at time of registration, the balance is due four (4) weeks prior to the start of the your camp week or a $50 late fee may be added to the account. If paying by check, there is a $30 fee that will be added to the account for a returned check.

LUTHERIDGE
Each camper is part of a cabin group of up to eight campers and one college-age counselor. Christian community, making friends and teamwork are stressed, assuring that each camper is valued and encouraged. Regular camp activities include swimming, crafts, games, hikes, singing, campfires and more! Creative Bible study and worship are a part of each day’s schedule. Younger campers canoe in the lake on site and end the week with a Water Olympics. Campers who are middle school age and older experience the low ropes course on camp, go on an outing into Pisgah forest, and celebrate the week’s end with a dance.
Explorers
(For youth who will have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2012)
Middle school youth find friends and adventure in this on-site camp program. Each cabin group gets to choose some activities and everyone enjoys crafts, games, and the low ropes course. Campfires and large group games like Capture-the-Flag, plus an off-site outing into Pisgah Forest add to the fun. The week ends with a crazy costume dance in celebration of a great week together. You'll go home with a whole new group of friends and lots of wonderful memories. Enjoy special emphasis weeks such as Christmas Week, 4th of July, and Music Week.

Night Owl Explorers
(For youth who will have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2012)
Camp with a clock twist! During this program campers stay up later at night and sleep in the morning turning them into "Night Owls". As the week goes longer, the nights get later! The week includes many of the normal camp activities (Bible study, crafts, games, etc...) that turn into evening activities and late night Christian fellowship.

M.A.D Camp - Music And Drama Camp
(For youth that will have completed grades 4-6 for summer 2012)
Enjoy Music and Drama (MAD) and a whole new cast of friends! Campers will perform a musical on Friday afternoon. Families are invited to attend! Mornings will be spent in rehearsals and afternoons and evenings in regular camp activities. If you’ve ever wanted to be in the show, this camp is for you!

NEW FOR 2012!! Creation Keepers - Adventure & Service
(For youth that will have completed grades 6-8 for summer 2012)
This week combines white water adventure with the care of God's creation. Go tubing on the Green River and rafting on the French Broad River. Learn about water conservation and work to preserve and protect rivers and the earth we enjoy so much! Bible lessons focus on being the creation keepers God has called us to be. Meet new friends and make a difference!

Rock 'n Raft
(For youth that will have completed grades 6-8 for summer 2012)
The week includes the adventure of climbing with the thrill of whitewater rafting in a week of physical challenge, spiritual growth and Christian community. Participants will spend the day on the low ropes course, a day on the Challenge Tower, a day climbing in Linville Gorge with camping overnight, and a day rafting on the Nolichucky River.

Saddle 'n Paddle
(For youth that will have completed grades 6-8 for summer 2012)
The week combines the activities of whitewater rafting with a day of horseback riding in the midst of Christian community. Enjoy a full measure of God's Creation with great Christian role models and cool camp activities.

Surf 'n Turf
(For youth that will have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2011)
Raft the Nolichucky River ("Surf") and backpack the Appalachian Train ("Turf"). The hike is of moderate terrain which provides a good introduction to the skills of backpacking. The program includes 2 nights of camping off-site: one on the Trail and one alongside the river. On-site camp time include regular camp activities. Rates below apply to registratios received by end date listed.

Paddler's Week
(For youth that will have completed grades 6-8 for summer 2011)
Send a week in the water including an outing at Big Sliding Rock, a day of canoeing the French Board River, and a day of rafting the Nolichucky River. Add Bible study and Christian community and the week provides a fun way to "remember your baptism".

LUTHEROCK

Campers are part of an adventure group of up to eight youth and one college-age counselor. Christian community, making friends and cooperation are stressed, assuring that each camper is valued and encouraged. Counselors build a relationship with each camper nurturing their faith journey during the week they are at camp and beyond. Regular camp activities include the group interaction course, ropes courses, loop hike, rock slide, ice-cream making, singing, campfires, and so much more! Creative Bible study and worship are a part of each day’s schedule. Outdoor adventure programs include additional activities such as rafting, backpacking, caving, rockclimbing, and rappelling.
Jr High Adventure Week
(For campers that have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2012)
Folks that want more "Lutherock time" get it! This on-site program has adventure and activities throughout the week. Activities include the Group Interaction Course, ropes course, hiking, crafts, Bible study, lake swimming, scavenger hunt, night hiking, ice cream making, singing, rock-slide, and so much more. Jr High Adventure is available for groups of 12 or more at a buy-out option. Middle School Sampler
(For campers that have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2012)
This outdoor adventure program will provide an opportunity to experience a variety of challenges including rafting the Nolichucky River, a day of rock climbing, caving, ropes course, and hiking at Lutherock.

Whitewater/Backpack
(For campers that have completed grades 6-8 by summer 2012)
Come and enjoy an introductory week of backpacking while learning the basics of hiking and tent camping on the Appalachian Trail. Your hike is followed by a full day of whitewater rafting on the Nolichucky River. This program is great for first timers. Other activities include the Group Interaction Course and the ropes course with zip line.
